I have several novels for young adults, all contemporary (mainstream) with three books in the LGBTQ+ space. All are available at all major book retailers, and for order at indie book stores. 

I write contemporary romance under the pen name Kat Vinson. Three books in The Coded for Love series are out now, along with a short story published in an anthology called Lake Covington.

In theory, I am currently working on developing these skills, with several drafts of picture books under my belt and ready for me to start illustrating (when I am ready). But it’s mostly on hold because I’m busy. I used to have a website but took it down. Maybe one day I’ll bring it back.

I started my career as a software engineer in 2006 and primarily did back-end software development with touches of NLP and data science until 2015, when I switched to data quality development. I’ve held the job title data scientist since 2017.

I am working on the Doctor of Technology degree at the Polytechnic Institute at Purdue University. I’m still narrowing down my dissertation topic, but I’m intending to look at the use of AI tools in the criminal justice system and the bias they exhibit.

I have a book on data science coming out from Apress in 2025 and I sometimes write about tech, ethics, and other topics I find interesting, like behavioral economics, on Medium. My website has additional info.
